Computer Taking Too Much Time To Boot?

Computer Taking Too Much Time To Boot?

Computer taking too much time to boot can be an alarming issue to few problems, you are ignoring lately. So today let me point out all those problems along with their solutions. Here goes the list to speed up the booting time of Windows PC.

  1. Too Many Start-Up Programs

Too many start-up programs can really affect the booting time of your computer. By default, computer needs only few essential programs to boot up completely. Rest, you can disable them as they are only adding to the booting time of your computer. By accessing the System Configuration from Msconfig.exe, you can disable the unwanted start-up programs. Here’s how?
How to disable Start-up program?
startup programs
  • Click on start, type msconfig in search bar, and click on msconfig program.
  • Under Startup Tab, remove all the unwanted start-up programs like Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, Google Updates, Internet search bars. But don’t disable any essential one’s in the process. If you are not sure about any program, then better leave it or you can use Soluto to guide regarding the same. Soluto is highly recommended for beginners or novice users.
  • Click on Apply and OK to confirm.
  • 2.    Defragmentation
If you are not defragmenting your Hard Disk on a scheduled basis, then this can also add up to system’s booting time. How? With time your hard disk will become fragmented which causes a single file to get sprawled on different locations. So to retrieve such files, system will surely going to take too much time. To avoid the fragmentation issues, it’s better to defragment the hard disk on a regular basis or you can say once a week or two. You should also defragment your hard disk after you delete huge amount of data from your computer system. Here’s how to do that?
windows computer system defragmentation
  • Click on My Computer.
  • Right Click on the Primary Drive(mostly C:/). Select Properties, then move on to Tools.
  • Click on Defragment now. The process may take few minutes or more to complete.

3.   Disk Errors

Disk Error is the another problem which sometime can cause fatal issues too. So it’s always recommended to check your disk for such errors. Upon doing so, computer system also fixes the file system error and recover bad bad sectors on hard disk too. Same as the above process mentioned in the Defragmentation part.
disk error checking computer system
  • Click on My Computer.
  • Right Click on the Primary Drive. Select Properties, move to Tools.
  • Under Error Checking, click on Check now to fix the file system errors and to recover the bad sectors. If you are doing so for your Primary Drive, then it will schedule a Error Checking at the boot up time. Error checking will takes place when you next start up your system.
4.  Low RAM

Upgrading RAM significantly decrease the booting time of your computer system. I recommend more than 512MB or better make it a 1GB RAM if you are using Windows XP, or at least 2GB of RAM if you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7.

5. Unused Hardware

device manager computer system
Why allow your computer system to waste time on loading hardware drivers, you are not using at all. You can enable them when you want. So it’s better to disable all those drivers installed in respect to use the hardware which you are not using now. Here’s how to do that.
  • Click on Start, type Device Manager in the search bar.
  • Click on Device Manager, which will list all the hardware drivers.
  • Right click and disable the unwanted one’s.

6.  Low Disk-Space

If your Primary Drive is struggling for disk space, then this also adds up to the booting time of your computer system. So make room for disk space by deleting all the junk files or by shifting the application program to the other drives.

7.  Use a Good Anti-Virus

Malwares can increase the booting time of your computer system. To avoid, use a good Anti-Virus and always keep it up to date. Scan your computer system once in a week or daily if possible. You can use Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG Anti-Virus, Avast or NOD 32,kaspersky. Use anyone of them and always keep them up to date.

8.  Uninstall Programs Correctly

uninstall programs correctly computer system
If you are deleting the unwanted programs using the right click and delete method from where they are stored in the Primary Drive then this can leads to enormous booting time of your computer system. Do not right click and delete the unwanted programs. Because upon doing so the computer leaves some junk in your registry files. Follow the right way to uninstall the unwanted programs off your computer system.
  • Click on My Computer.
  • Go to Uninstall or change a program.
  • Double Click the program to uninstall.

9. Take Care Of Your Hardware

Clean up your hardware once or twice in a month, make sure that the connections are fixed properly. Blow out that dust off of the fans inside in the cabinet. Connect all the hardware properly. Not only it will help you a bit in boosting up the booting time, but it will also lead you to enjoy a much faster computer system. Also, upgrade your hardware from time to time. Move on with the generation. :)

Emulated Turbo C++ IDE 3.0

Turbo C Software for Windows Vista and Windows 7 64 bit and 32 bit [One Click Installer!]

Searching Turbo C software for windows 7/vista 32 bit or 64 bit? and you didn’t find any good software or you find that DOS box method which takes lot of time for configuring that software. Here is a good solution for those who need turbo c software for windows 7 or vista OS.
Windows vista and windows 7 are both popular operating system, but when we compare this operating system with windows XP some of the basic operations/software which we use in XP won’t support in Vista or windows 7 operating system. For example command prompt in vista and windows 7 won’t show the full screen, and another major drawback is Turbo C software won’t support in both windows vista as well as windows 7 OS. So we cannot able to work C/C++ in our newer operating system. So here is a solution for that, with the help of  “Emulated Turbo C++ IDE 3.0” software we can work Turbo C fine in windows vista, windows 7 32 and 64 bit PC. This software is like a C for win7 and C for Vista.

We can using turbo c software for window 7 64 bit in other way also i.e by using DOSBox software and Turbo C software. In this way we have to configure manually to work turbo c for win7. But with Emulated Turbo C++ IDE 3.0 software we don’t need to configure anything and it is one click installer software. To work C in Win7/vista 64 bit or 32 bit only you need to install Emulated Turbo C++ IDE 3.0 software and after installing that software you can successfully run turbo c compiler in windows 7 64 bit pc.

Turbo C for windows 7, vista for 32 bit and 64 bit

I have tried turbo c in win7 by manual method, and with that method what I feel is installing Emulated Turbo C++ IDE 3.0 (C for win 7) software is good when compared with DOSBox installation method. Because in DOSBox method some of the shortcut keys of turbo c software won’t work (perform different task) and number pad (keyboard) won’t work properly (ex: to turn on numpad we have to press NumLk button twice or thrice to turn on) and configuring turbo c software for windows 7 64 bit pc is some what difficulty and time-consuming process.
So those who are looking for installing or working with turbo c in windows 7, I recommend you to go for Emulated Turbo C++ IDE 3.0 by mohit saxena instead of DOSBox method. According the developer he said turbo c supports full screen in windows vista  and windows 7 O.S but I don’t think it fully support full screen. In both the DOSBox method and Emulated Turbo C++ IDE 3.0 method turbo c opens in same screen size.

PlayStation 4 Could Be Using Custom Chip to Power Console

PlayStation 4 Could Be Using Custom Chip to Power Console

Ps4 With Radeon And Amd ChipsetsIGN says PS4 will offer integrated and discrete chip processors.

IGN’s sources say the PS4 could use both AMD and Radeon chips in its next-gen console

IGN are reporting that the next-gen PlayStation console will offer integrated and discrete chips, from AMD and Radeon. That will be surprising, as it was previously rumoured Sony would move to just AMD to ease development for third-party developers.
The custom chips are based on the “AMD A8-3850 APU and Radeon HD 7670 GPU,” IGN say. The official product specs show the AMD chip as a processor with an integrated graphics chip. The APU will work with the GPU of the PS4, the HD 7670, which is a DirectX 11 card clocked to 1GHz.
The HD 7670 isn’t new – it’s the rebranded 6670. That’s the card that was rumoured by IGN to be in the next-gen Xbox, suggesting that both consoles will offer similar performance this time around. Sony is considered to have produced the more powerful console this generation, at the cost of frustrating first-party developers due to the Cell architecture.
The current price of the HD 7670 is $74.99, which is considered an entry-level processor. IGN says benchmark tests for games like Crysis 2 and and Metro 2033 perform at just over 30 FPS. While the next Xbox and PlayStation consoles could be similar on this front, the PS3’s other card will provide the advantage.
The A8-3850 has the HD 6550D on board, which means games can be run at baselines specs and low resolution without help of another GPU. When paired with the HD7670, IGN say, that means both cards will process realtime graphics.
IGN also say that while they are reporting this specs, it is possible these could change before the system’s launch. As the chips are based on retail products, it’s important to note that these are “custom.” It’s likely they won’t be exactly the same.
